We make a difference.

We make a difference by designing spaces and places with people and the environment at their heart.

OUR ETHOS
At The Paul Hogarth Company we make a positive difference to lives and the environment by putting people at the heart of spaces and places, while championing nature and the needs of our planet. We firmly believe in the link between quality of place and quality of life, sustaining healthy populations, ecosystems and economies. Only by working together is this made possible.

Our Services.

Placemaking through Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Planning.

Landscape Architecture

Landscape Architecture is the design and stewardship of our environment, from streets, parks and squares to waterfronts, estates and woodlands.

We pride ourselves at The Paul Hogarth Company in taking a landscape-led approach, putting people and the environment at the heart of everything we do. Our award winning landscape architecture skills are to be found applied to all stages of development and geographic scales. Whether the detailed design of a civic space or the landscape assessment of a National Park, common to all our projects is a passionate commitment to quality and site specific design.

Urban Design

Urban Design is the strategic design and planning of our built environment, encompassing neighbourhoods, villages, towns and cities.
Places are complex, requiring a range of skills to first understand them and second, to plan for their future. At The Paul Hogarth Company we specialise in leading collaborative processes of urban design and placemaking. We work together with clients and their partners, with fellow consultants and with the general public to analyse places and to shape coherent strategies and masterplans for their future development and regeneration.

Planning

Planning is the management of contextually appropriate development, from regional and local policy, to the delivery of positive, sustainable change.
Good planning is an essential ingredient of any place, none least so for those with sensitive natural environments, historic fabrics or socio-economic profiles. At The Paul Hogarth Company we plan for successful places no matter how complex, developing policy guidance and bringing developments through all stages of the planning system. With our roots in landscape and placemaking, we specialise in planning for sensitive environments, including Landscape & Visual Impact Assessment and strategies for tourism.
